Confirm eligibility and entry
Open the organiser’s current event page. Check weapon, category, eligibility, membership requirements and entry status. Keep the confirmation and event contact somewhere easy to find. Registration dates, check-in closure and the start of fencing are different things.
Pack with your club
Ask your coach which equipment standards and inspection process apply. Prepare protective clothing, weapon-specific items and working spares as required. Use the checklist as a reminder, then check it against the organiser’s requirements; the list itself cannot certify equipment.
Plan the day
Allow time for travel, check-in, equipment control and the warm-up agreed with your coach. Decide who will follow announcements and how you will find your next piste. After the event, record one practical improvement for the next competition before packing everything away.
