Ask before arriving

Contact the club about age groups, arrival time, clothing, indoor shoes and loan equipment. Ask whether you need to book and whether a parent should remain on site. Do not assume one club’s arrangements apply everywhere.

Learn the stopping routine

Let the instructor fit and check protective equipment and explain when masks must be worn. Learn the club’s start and stop commands before working with a partner. If equipment feels loose or an instruction is unclear, stop and ask for help.

Leave with a useful next step

Write down one thing you enjoyed, one question, and the suggested next class. Ask about the full cost of joining, what remains available to borrow, and when buying equipment would become useful. Compare the whole learning experience rather than a single result.
